THE FLASH

How does a superhero looks like??

Strong, Powerful, Precise in everything , Honest, Good guy... etc... etc... etc...

But, not all superheroes are like this, some got powers, but not precision. Some are not even strong with muscles , but might got some abs 😉😜 . Okay, well I'm talking about "THE FLASH"!!

So, I've been recently watching this series on CW  and I curse myself, where the hell was I from past 4-5 years , when the show first got aired. How can anybody on this planet can miss watching THE FLASH, and especially when the hero is "Grant Gustin".

So, let's leave Grant Gustin right here and focus on Barry Allen aka Flash.

The above line about POWER AND PRECISION is not mine, I don't have this much intellect and of-course experience to be talking about it. So, Oliver Queen aka ARROW said this to Barry when he first got to know that Barry has become a speedster; "There's a difference, Barry, between having powers and having precision".

I have to admit this now here that I've learnt so much from this man, something I can totally call "LIFE LESSONS" that I'll never forget.

Why every time we imagine our heroes taking always the right decisions and not the wrong ones??

That's the image we have in our minds, we think they are so visionary that they already knows the outcomes of making wrong choices and hence, they don't make wrong choices.

But, here in the show, Barry always ends up making wrong decision that changes his life and lives of people around him. And it's alright making wrong choices, he's not god.

And here comes another dialogue said by Oliver Queen , I suppose , still not sure ;
"Barry, the world isn't different because you changed the timeline. Change happens. Tragedy happens. People make choices, and those choices effect everyone else. You're not god, Barry".

Even inside the superhero, saving the 'Central City' from metahumans and other extraordinary creatures resides an ordinary man , who is like us ,vulnerable about the people he loves and cares about.

"When it comes to family, When it comes to people that we all love, we're all vulnerable. None of us are above making a wrong decision " said Barry Allen aka Flash.

DR. HARRISON WELLS

Again, let's leave Barry Allen here for a minute, and let's talk about my all time favorite character from the show , It has to be none other than "Dr.Harrison Wells" played by 'Tom Cavanagh' ,such an amazing character he is.He's a super secret villain, but he's not really a  villain too. He has his own reasons to be a villain and then, surprisingly he's really not bad.

His doppelgangers are extremely amazing like him, they have lots of shades and that makes this character more interesting. And and and, he's seriously so much intelligent, clever , wise; beyond our reach. And he's one of the reasons that makes me watch this show. There's so much to learn from this man.

He's an amazing mentor btw, and this dialogue got something really powerful in it; "Breathe. Feel the air. Feel that wind on your face. Feel the ground, your feet lifting you up, pushing you forward, and the lightning, Barry, feel the lightning. Feel its power. Its electricity pumping through your veins, crackling through you, traveling to every nerve in your body, like a shock. You’re no longer you now. You’re part of something greater. You’re part of a speed-force. It’s yours."

But my all time favorite dialogue of  Dr. Wells (from the Earth-2) "Life is Either/Or , Yes/No, Black/White, From the dawn of time to this moment right now".

And let's not forget his sense of humor from Earth- 19 "You have Hitchcock on this Earth? Oh, brilliant. “Murder on the Titanic”! “Who did it? Who cares? We’re drowning."

Okay, let's get back to BARRY ALLEN

One thing Barry Allen teaches you is , even with ordinary people, the philosophy of impossibilities don't work, as he once said "We're supposed to think we're something we're not until we become that thing".

This idea once inculcated in once life can change the way he/she looks at their lives. You know, sometimes we are forced to think that we lack certain possibilities to do things, but in reality we don't. Just because we have always been taught that we belong to certain category, we also don't try to break the stereotype, that's keeping us constantly under the darkness.

But, "Thinking you're invincible isn't any kind of armor" , said Joe West (Barry's legal guardian but more like a FATHER). A father always tries to make his child stay grounded, ensures his child is safe and doesn't make any decision risking his life. And, let's not forget a father always wants his child to become the best version of himself/herself and never stops him/her to be that, even if he knows, he might can loose him one day; "You can't let your love for somebody cause you to be afraid of what might happen. You gotta take the good with the bad, no matter what."

In-spite of all your efforts to save the people you love. What will you do, once they are gone?? Let's see what Dr. Harrison Wells has to say about it,"Everyone loses someone they care about, Snow. The real test of character is what you do once they’re gone."

"It doesn’t matter if you’re the slowest kid in gym class or the fastest man alive, every one of us is running. Being alive means running; running from something; running to something or someone. And no matter how fast you are, there are some things you can’t outrun; some things always manage to catch up to you."

LIFE IS TRAGIC. BUT IT'S ALSO PRECIOUS, AND SWEET, AND EXTRAORDINARY!!

"Everyone secretly thinks they’ve figured out what their life is gonna be like, but what no one ever considers is that life has its own plans for you, whether you like them or not. And so you’re left with a choice. You can either embrace the change and move forward, or fight it, and be left behind."

SEASON 3: FINISH LINE

This is a really important thing, that I've learnt from Barry here is : All of us have this bad terrible awful face of ours, deep inside we all know about it, but we're afraid of seeing it virtually. We can't fight it, we can never win. But, all of us have a good beautiful face too, we can embrace it .

SEASON 4

I always used to think that knowledge gives you the capability/ quality to draw lines between wrong and right. And of course choose to be in the right zone. But, Clifford DeVoe aka Thinker proves this whole scenario of mine wrong. Sometimes, knowledge plays with our capabilities of making right choices, it turns out lately that people are so much self concerned that they even shake hands with the evils residing inside them. The evils deteriorating the world. Everybody wants to be the ruler/ intelligent / powerful but not kind of-course. But, there's a limit to everything that's against universe.

“As individuals we tend to climb to our levels of incompetence. We behave as though up is better and more is better, and yet all around us we see the tragic victims of this mindless escalation.”

― Laurence J. Peter, The Peter Principle: Why Things Always Go Wrong
